Hi Imene,

I see that it shows your completion time as 22 mins and 15 seconds for 22-Aug-2020. The system calculates the solving time from the first time a puzzle was opened  till the time it is submitted. So, hypothetically, if you started the puzzle and for some reason you have to shut down and restart later.  The second time if you complete in 17 minutes is the time you have spent during that session, however the total solving time is calculated as a difference from the first time the sudoku was viewed. For 23-Aug-2020, I see that you started the puzzle around 11:47 PM India time. Now what happens is at midnight India time, the server refreshes the data and the next day's sudoku becomes active. So if you submit your answer for the sudoku and the time has crossed midnight India time, effectively that old puzzle becomes inactive and hence the system shows you as "still playing" as it is incomplete. This is by design to differentiate the solve for the new puzzle that has been displayed.

I thank you for the kind words regarding the website and it is my endeavor to provide quality hand crafted sudokus to our guests. I hope I was able to atleast explain to you how the system works. I hope you continue to play and do not feel disheartened by your experience on these two dates as mentioned by you :)

Cheers
Rishi Puri
